My work ~~focuses primarily~~ around the analysis of multispectral, hyperspectral, and SAR imagery, as well as LiDAR point clouds, though I enjoy tackling data problems of all kinds. I rely heavily on Python, GRASS, GDAL, PDAL, QGIS and PostgreSQL for data torturing and distribution. I love Linux. I currently serve as the secretary of ~~the Slovenian~~ OSGeo ~~Local Chapter~~. == Abstract ==
r.proj is one of the most commonly used modules in GRASS, reprojecting raster maps between coordinate systems. Despite running on modern multi-core hardware, it is entirely single-threaded, leaving most CPU cores idle and making large raster reprojections slower than necessary.

This project parallelizes r.proj using OpenMP. The main obstacles are GRASS's readcell tile cache, and the PROJ library. The readcell tile cache is not thread-safe and the PROJ library requires each thread to have its own context. The solution is a two-path memory architecture: a fast RAM buffer for maps that fit in memory, and a thread-local tile cache for larger maps. The project will also resolve issue #5776, which makes the progress reporting function G_percent unsafe in parallel code.

The same RAM preload pattern applies directly to r.param.scale, a terrain analysis module whose sequential sliding buffer currently prevents row-level parallelism. r.geomorphon will also be parallelized as a third module. Together, these changes establish a reusable parallelization framework for future GRASS contributors.

= Abstract =
Currently, the GRASS Data Catalog only queries standard spatial maps and bypasses the temporal database and STDS's entirely. As a result, Space Time Datasets are completely invisible in the catalog interface, forcing users to manage them exclusively via the command line.

This project will extend the existing Data Catalog architecture to natively support STDS. A solution will be implemented to show STDS alongside the standard spatial maps, fetching and displaying STRDS, STVDS, and STR3DS objects inside their respective mapset trees. Additionally, the project will enhance Data Catalog functionalities, such as context menus and other operations, to fully recognize, search, and interact with STDS objects in the GRASS GUI. Beyond these GUI integrations, the project will also focus on resolving critical bugs and enhancing the functionality of core temporal tools to improve the overall user workflow.
