Q: Starting GRASS GIS on MacOSX, I get "bad cpu type in executable"

A: Exit the file ".bash_profile" in your HOME directory and add therein: 

export GRASS_PYTHON=/usr/bin/python2.6
export GRASS_PYTHONWX=/usr/bin/pythonw2.6
