I am working as Research Associate in the Center for Geospatial Analytics at North Carolina State University. My position requires me to assist various GIS-related projects such as Immersive Virtual Environments (IVE), geoparsing, creating automatic map generation applications and more. So far I have used proprietary software to develop applications, but I would like to explore and participate in more Open Source GIS application development, as GIS is my primary field of interest. My goal is to contribute in the Open Source GIS community.
