* Report from NumFOCUS Project Summit:
** VP participated of the NumFOCUS projects summit; there were not many other projects attending.
** There are calls for small grants (USD 10K per project per year), that we should apply for, and ideally use them for development.
** It seems we need to apply as a project, but it is not clear who submits. In any case, the person interested in the money should lead the effort. See: https://numfocus.org/programs/small-development-grants.
** We had a meeting with them on Tue 18th, but AP will ask them to move it because neither VP nor VA can attend. New date: Dec 10th, 2025.

* GRASS wiki under attack:
** MN set up countermeasures on the server, instructions to be dumped in our  infrastructure shared doc
** Not everyone has access to that doc, so we shall review and discuss our shared folder and files “policy”.

* New wiki page on organizing GRASS events:
** https://grasswiki.osgeo.org/wiki/Organizing_GRASS_Contributor_Events.

* GRASS meeting San Michele 2026:
** See [https://lists.osgeo.org/pipermail/grass-psc/2025-September/003054.html Luca's proposal].
** Nicklas is not available for any of the proposed dates.
** AP and VP depend on the green card, if they get it on time, any of the dates are fine.
** Paulo: 50% with the second date.
** HC: probably the second date.
** MN and VA: any date fine for now.
** Linda: new baby coming! Congrats!

* Release 8.4:
** VP and MN will agree on a date soon to do the release together.
** Edouard will be invited, too.

* Release 8.5:
** It will have CMake in the source code as experimental feature to try for users who compile code themselves (but extensions won’t work for them).
** FHS won’t work with CMake yet.
** It’s a matter of communication about what’s there in the source code. Binaries will be with autotools, so addons will work.
** Blockers: there’s an issue with r.blend and something with r.patch with vrt and nprocs > 1 (the latter found by Metz, but still unreported)
** New python API, VP will call for a webinar on it by mid-dec, to show how it works and collect some feedback, too.
** JSON stuff and mkdocs is in good shape to go.
** Jupyter notebook PR needs to be reviewed, it does not work in windows, but this is not a blocker, we can mark it as experimental.
** Drop support for PROJ < 8 and GDAL < 3? Nicklas created issues to get feedback, it could be done before the release. See [https://github.com/OSGeo/grass/issues/6628 #6628] and [https://github.com/OSGeo/grass/issues/6629 #6629].

* Motion proposed and passed to reimburse Alen for the stickers. VP will contact Michael Smith, so Alen gets reimbursed.

* Plan extraordinary meeting - PSC + Luca to plan 2026 budget + community meeting when the call for OSGeo budget is out.
** VP proposal: include an item to promote GRASS in other than FOSS4G conferences.
