GRASS and Octave

Octave (http://www.gnu.org/software/octave/) is a high-level interactive language, primarily intended for numerical computations that is mostly compatible with MATLAB.

Import and export

Raster

• Import: r.in.mat
• Export: r.out.mat

TODO: write a r3.{in|out}.mat

Vector

• Import: v.in.mapgen - use the -f flag
• Export: v.out.ascii.mat - from AddOns
