The purpose of working groups is to coordinate the GRASS GIS community activities such as software development, documentation, promotion and fostering relations with other communities. Each group has a defined scope, a coordinator and members who engage in working group activities depending on their interest, expertise and available time. Working groups are separate from the GRASS GIS Project Steering Committee, but work together as needed.
The currently established working groups include:
- Geoprocessing Engine Working Group
- Open-Source Ecosystem Working Group
- Documentation and Education Working Group
- Community Engagement Working Group
How to join
You don't have to be an experienced GRASS contributor to join a group. See which working group or groups you are interested in and contact the group's coordinator.
