Geoprocessing engine working group is established to coordinate the development of GRASS as a geoprocessing engine to facilitate GRASS adoption by researchers and industry.
Scope
- coordinate development of GRASS as a geoprocessing engine
- coordinate development of Python API
- coordinate software distribution
- source code quality assurance, testing, CI
Activity
While the group itself is currently not active as a group, things are happening, for example
- Vaclav Petras's collaboration with Natrx, Inc. to create new Python API to tools (grass.tools)
- GRASS/actinia being part of the new Horizon Europe project "GeoAI toolbox for Epidemic Intelligence" (DOI) with mundialis/Markus Neteler/Markus Metz as consortium partners
